Mumbai – its a city that grows on you. Some have an instant liking where as some take their time to like it. Mumbai is a city that never sleeps – you always have something to do whatever time it is. As far as I can remember, I have always loved this city, for the numerous things it offers you to do.
This is yet-another-list-of-things-in-Mumbai. Its, after all MUMBAI MERI JAAN.
- Visit Juhu beach on a Sunday evening
- Go to Santacruz Airport, not to drop / receive someone, but to have something in the middle of the night
- Go to Mucchad paan wala to have paan and actually wait for 15 – 20 mins to get the paan
- Visit Chowpatty and have Anando milkshakes
- Have Shiv Sagar Pav Bhaji
- Visit New Yorkers on Marine Drive
- Spend the whole day at Water kingdom / Essel World
- Buy T-shirts from linking Road, Fashion street
- Take a walk down Carter Road, Bandstand during Monsoons
- Go to Lonavla for a cup of coffee with your girlfriend / spouse
- Visit the Gateway of India
- Think twice before entering a Virar fast local
- Watch DDLJ at Maratha Mandir (yes, its still screening Matinee Show)
- Enjoy a play at Prithvi theatre
- Enjoy a movie at G7 – 7 cinemas’s together (Gaiety, Galaxy, Gemini..)
- Sit on the Tetropod at Bandstand and get the Eunuchs for company
- Buy computer / tech stuff from Lamington Road
- Get lost in the bylanes of Bandra
- Spot a celebrity taking an evening walk at Pali Hill
- Bet money at the race course, and for sure LOOSE!
- Run the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon
- Get lost in Mumbai on the last day of Ganpati Visarjan
- Enter someone’s reception at a Five star hotel, have dinner and get out
- Drive really fast either on Marine Drive, Carter road or Bandstand.
- Drive at the speed of 30km / hour on the Sealink, thanks to the speed arrestors
- Drive on a relatively empty road, and still use your Car horn
- Stand outside Jalsa, Mannat and be in awe of our bollywood stars
- Jetski at Chowpatty (using the H20’s services)
- Go inside the “Aeroplane walla Garden” at Sanatacruz West
- Visit Janta bar, Pali Naka at 3am and ask for Daaru, even if the place is shut
- Use the heritage toilet, while taking a heritage walk at Mumbai Dockyard (First Sunday every month)
- Have Thali at Joshi Club, Kalbadevi
- Visit Chor – bazaar
- Wax made offerings to Mother mary. If you wish to pass an exam, give Mother Mary a wax book.
- Have Jumbo King Vada pav outside any local train railway station.
- Go Flamingo spotting at Sewri
- Drive all the way to town to have kabab’s at Bade Miyan after a late night party.
- Visit the Banganga Tank, Walkeshwar, which is surrounded by temples on all sides.
- Listen to Qawwalis at Haji Ali
- Ride on Bus Number 524, the longest bus route in Mumbai covering 44 km.
- Eat street food at khau gali
- Have 101 different types of dosa’s at Prem Dosa, Vashi
- Have breakfast on a Sunday morning at Madras Cafe, and expect atleast an hour wait.
- Buy beer from Deepak Wines, Pali Naka, and have it at Carter Road
- Ride a horse on Juhu beach
- Take the local train from Churchgate to Borivali and hear bhajan’s on your way.
- Enjoy the Kala Ghoda festival
- Visit Inorbit mall on a Sunday evening and wonder why you cant find parking space?
- Wonder why all firangs love going to Cafe Leopold
- Explore Bandra churches (Yes! Many still exists)
- Go for Mumbai Darshan
- Go for a jogg at Joggers park, Bandra
- Sit on Carter road promenade till 1:30Am and get shooed away by the cops
- Enjoy the monsoon high waves at Worli Sea face

Awesome buddy. Being a Mumbaikar I have done almost all the above. I just love my city. One thing u missed. Visit Lal Baugh during Ganpati.

4. You can also visit Museum (Prince Wales)
5. Also visit the only Zoo in Mumbai.
6. Visit the aquarium.
7. Visit 21degree Fahrenheit, the coolest restaurant in the city.
8. Go for 4D Movies in Atria Mall.
I had got a dream to make my own company, nevertheless I didn’t earn enough amount of money to do that. Thank heaven my close colleague said to take the loans. Therefore I received the financial loan and realized my old dream.

Man this is awesome… Have done quite a few of them and would love to do the rest… The best I loved was taking a ride in bus 542 on the longest route… Am surely gonna check the route and have it on my to do list… Havn’t done this as yet…
