Vodafone has started taking their customers for granted. It has become a very unprofessional organization. Let me site my own example. Firstly, Vodafone data services were not working from Dec 19 to Dec 21 due to some technical problem. There was no notification to the customers or public acknowledgement by Vodafone about this issue (unlike Airtel who recently published an apology in Times of India); secondly, after they resumed their data services from Dec 22, they apparently made some changes in their policy that iphone users will not be able to use GPRS services unless they subscribed to special (very costly) iphone data plans. How can such a big organization make such sudden policy changes without informing their customers in advance? To top it, they suddenly started charging my account heavily for the data usage, which had been fixed to Rs. 99 unlimited till now (Note, I have been using Vodafone’s GPRS service on my iphone for the last 8 months at Rs 99 pm). I have made umpteen phone calls to their customer care; they keep giving these SLAs of 48 hours, etc. in which their executive will get back but so far (10 days) that hasn’t happened and mind you mine is a corporate account. Very annoying!!!
