The whole ‘coffee’ concept has come up in India in the last decade. It all started off with Barista opening up their coffee shops across Mumbai, especially next to colleges. Youngsters would drop in to have coffee and discuss assignments. Suddenly coffee houses were the ‘IN’ places to chill around. Then Mumbai witnessed a new wave called ‘Cafe Coffee Day’ (also referred to as CCD) and it took Mumbai by storm. You could find a CCD in every suburb in Mumbai, in every mall. Then came the new chain called Costa Coffee. I think they have about 5 coffee shops in Mumbai and are exploring more options.
Costa coffee shops are well lit cafes and they stock packed rolls and sandwiches. They also serve cakes and pastries. The vegetarians have a lot of options to choose from.
You can find Costa coffee in:
- Gazebo House, 52, Gulmohar road, JVPD scheme, Juhu, Mumbai
- Megal Mall, Andheri West (022 – 40034452)
- Sky Zone, Phoenix Mall (022 – 40046361)
- Grand Galleria, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel (022 – 40048326)
They have recently opened a cafe in Khar, off Linking road, on Khar Danda road.
