Mumbai’s local trains are the best and fastest way to travel, but at times, the local trains could be a pain especially if you have to change trains. Like for example: if you wish to travel from Kandivali to Ghatkopar, you need to take the western line from kandivali to dadar and change trains and take the central line. This could be time consuming and if its peak hour, you’re in for some trouble.

A better smoother way is to take a bus. Yes, this could be a little more time consuming, but you are assured to reach your destination all fresh. You can take the AC bus number 388 from Poisar bus depot which will take you to Ghatkopar station (west). The bus reaches the western express highway at Oberoi Mall and then takes the Jogeshwari vikhroli link road, passes L&T, IIT, Powai, Vikhroli and reaches Ghatkopar.

The buses are very comfortable and the total fare would be approx Rs 40/-.
