Every year, the BMC promises that they have done all the repair work and there will be no flooding at any part of the city, be it Milan Subway, Vile parle or Juhu, but they deeply believe in ‘promises are meant to be broken‘. The Milan subway, just like Khar subway runs below the railway track, but work is already underway to build a road over bridge. The MMRDA has commenced building the 700 metre road over bridge, which was slated to be completed before the monsoon by May end, but it will take a couple of more months at least.
They are building a two-lane flyover starting at Milan mall from the west and joining the service road in the east, next to the western express highway. The total cost of the flyover is estimated around Rs 41 crore.
Lets hope that during next monsoons, even if Milan subway is flooded, people can still use the road over bridge to go from West to east and vice versa.
