There have been a lot of instances when the slum locals between Bandra and Mahim have hit the commuters standing on the footboard, while talking on the phone with a stick. Now their intention is very clear – when they hit the commuters with a stick, what they are targeting is their cell phones. What they don’t realize is that with the impact, the commuter could loose his balance and fall off a running local. The Western Railway is aware of this problem and are considering fencing the railway tracks to avoid any anti-social elements.
