Pink flamingos are seasonal birds that visit Mumbai from October till March. Ofcourse you can’t see them everywhere, but they are mainly seen at the mudflats at Sewri (harbour line). They have been coming to Mumbai since 1990’s and no one knows from where they come from.
Where can you spot pink flamingos?
You can go to Sewri jetty, which is a 15 min walk from Sewri station, which is on harbour line.
What do I need to carry?
You need to carry Binoculars and you need patience.
When is the best time to visit Sewri?
The best time to go to Sewri to see the pink flamingos is in the morning, between the high tide and low tide. Moreover if you go in the mornings, the trains will be less crowded.
